Sunday School

It is the goal of the Whitefish United Methodist Church to help children develop faith foundations; know the Bible and its faith traditions, to relate to God and the Church and to relate faith to daily living.

We offer childcare for children Birth thru their 2nd birthday and Sunday School classes for the following age groups:

Younger Sunday School:  2nd birthday – 1st grade

Older Sunday School:  2nd – 4th grades

Youth Sunday School:  5th – 12th grades

Each class is taught by two volunteers each from within our congregation willing to teach for one month.  The curriculum used is “One Room Sunday School” published by Abingdon Press.  This curriculum provides age appropriate activities for children 2 years of age thru 4th grade.  The Youth Sunday School class curriculum is currently being developed.  Currently, they are studying the Bible basics while making their own Bible Jeopardy game.

Sunday School is held every Sunday at Whitefish United Methodist Church, unless otherwise noted.

During the summer months special events are planned such as Shaving Cream Sunday, Veggie Tale Sunday, Hawaiian Sunday, and VBS Sunday.

Each Sunday there is a Children’s time in the Sanctuary with Pastor Debbie and then the children are dismissed to Sunday School.  While in Sunday School there is Bible time, craft/activity time, offering time and music time.  Fellowship with the congregation occurs after the service and the children join their families.
